Coaching Appointments
At OnBundock we offer coaching sessions through a pro-active process, that focusses on development and personal growth.
Who is coaching for?
Anybody.
Absolutely anybody can attend a coaching session with a professional psychologist at OnBundock.
We find there are generally 3 categories of people who come to use for coaching. These include (but are not limited to):
What does coaching look like?
The first session with your coach is a strategy focused approach. This includes open discussion, questions and insights so that both the client and coaching psychologist are clear about what areas of life are being focused on.
The subsequent sessions are then focused on working through the strategy. Using evidence-based techniques, choices are reflected upon, and progress is monitored with the view to see results.
How long does it take?
It all depends on the goals of the client and the strategies discussed with the coaching psychologist. It is important to note that coaching is not always long term. Some clients want short, sharp, results driven assistance and then they move on. Others want longer term coaching to assist with longer term development. At OnBundock, our psychologists work with our clients to create clear strategies and a service that suits them at their circumstances.
Optimal functioning.
Coaching is part of the umbrella of positive psychology. This term is very popular in the media, and sometimes is mis-understood. Counselling, therapy and traditional psychology is often focused on remediating problems or challenges, whereas coaching or positive psychology is focused on optimal functioning or thriving.
What is positive psychology?
