Cultivating a successful workplace culture.

cultivating workplace EAP Townsville
From a strong sense of communication to helping employees feel recognised, a strong workplace culture is the backbone of a happy workplace. With the following assets that you can integrate into the business environment, you’ll be able to reduce stress while increasing productivity, morale and job satisfaction.

Creating opportunity. Giving employees the chance to achieve, learn and grow can motivate them for success. We live more fulfilling lives when it’s filled with accomplishment and life-long learning. Cultivate an environment that allows for employees to take on more responsibility and learn.

Give them purpose. One way to boost morale in the workplace is to remind staff that their work is meaningful. Clearly set out the purpose of their work and remind them how their contribution makes a difference to the company. Sharing customer/client success stories amongst the team can help.

Communication. We encourage managers and employees alike to be open to feedback from each other. Involving staff in important decisions and asking for their opinion may help them to feel valued.

Work-life balance. Great workplaces care about all aspects of your life! They allow you to have downtime for your friends and family in between work. Some companies offer an Employee Assistance Program for their teams to make sure that they are feeling their best at home and at work.

Recognition. Workers need to feel appreciated for their input. A startling amount of employees leave because they feel their work is not being recognised. Employees benefit from having their leaders recognise their work as a positive asset to the company.  This will breed a happy work environment, which yields better productivity.

Incentives. Have some fun by offering rewarding incentives to encourage staff to work harder to complete tasks. They’ll feel more motivated. The rewards don’t have to be anything big, maybe just a treat, small prize or social outing on the weekend.

The more the team invests in one another, the happier you will be, the better the quality of work and the more positive the work environment for everyone!
